Battlefield 3 | BF3 Cook/Hold Grenades Tutorial -- Gameplay Tips
In Battlefield 3 you cannot cook a grenade i.e. you can't lower the detonation timer on the grenade, but you can hold it which allows you to aim and control where the grenade is thrown and lands. In order to accomplish this -- press the grenade button and Immediately press and hold your TRIGGER button. When you are ready to release the grenade, simply release your trigger button.

Just found this out today by accident. You can hold it for as long as you want, and even put it away, but you can't cook it. Sounds okg though, I mean, how many people would like to risk their lives cooking a grenade in real life? I wouldn't

hey in reality how does grenade work? can u cook grenade? or u can hold it infinite time after pulling the the stuff? killzone 3 can cook grenade. cheap game called combat arms cant cook but once pull the stuff it wont explode.

@FlameMetalRoy that's what they teach you to do when you join the forces.. the proper usage of a grenade is to hold it for the appropriate amount of time that it will explode when it reaches its target. Reduces the risk of it being thrown back
