http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3Zsvml57PE is a video describing how to learn more about the Mormon Church.

In 1963, President John F. Kennedy visited Salt Lake to deliver a speech. In his speech, he referred often to "the Mormons", Mormon history & pioneers and the Mormon Church. Listen to parts of JFK's speech.

The Mormon pioneers that he describes were a central part of history that defined the Mormon Church.

In Utah, the Mormons blossomed and began to spread throughout the world. You can now find congregations of the Mormon Church in nearly every country and Mormons speaking nearly every language, but all in unity believing the teachings of Jesus Christ.

For more information about the Mormon Church ("the Mormons"), visit http://www.mormon.org. Learn what Mormons believe, how Mormons worship and even request a free copy of the Book of Mormon.

  • I too had never heard it before. It would be interesting to know what other presidents have said about the Mormon Church.

  • WOW! I have never heard of this! That is amazing that JFK said that. This proves that our history says a lot about us and how far we will go for our beliefs and other Americans can learn from our history. lol.

  • Cool vid on JFK! Gooo Mormons....lol!

  • 1 Cor 10:2, millions of people baptized by the spirit, when passing through the Red sea, There's not one scripture to say we need someone in authority to baptize us, Alao I think you will find Ps 147:20 very interesting as far as the BOM story goes, back to baptism, Who baptized Jesus the second time ?,,

  • There is baptism by water, and baptism by fire (the Spirit) which you may call dry baptism.

John 3 gives a great description by Jesus himself of what is necessary.

  • You use that scripture to try to show we shouldn't prepare? Haha, that doesn't have anything to do with temporal preparation. You think it's unwise to save money as well?

Try the parable of the 10 virgins, which talks about preparation in general.

  • Thats right!!! Mormons Nuka!

  • So you prepare yourself ? Eph,2:8,

  • Sorry, but you have no understanding of that scripture, please allow me to help a little, 1 Cor,12:13, now does this say, person, authority, organization, ?,, I would go as far as to say, you have no idea how many times Jesus was baptized,

How many dry baptisms are carried out in the Bible ?, how about, around 4 million ?

  • actually as stated in the 4th article of our faith its states the first principles and ordinances of the gospel that one is required in order to join the true church which are 1st- faith in the lord jesus christ 2nd- repentance 3rd baptism by immersion for the remission of sins and 4th- laying on of hands for the gift of the holy ghost... and 5th endure to the end. this is no plague this is the true church of Jesus Christ. your plague is pride and blindness to the truth freetube 121. sorry

  • Your correlations here are skewed, built upon a strongman's argument.

Arguing that the church is false then equating it to the 10 virgins is the poorest correlative idea to which I have been subjected.
