The View

The Location
The property (just 2 hrs. from NYC) is conveniently located 10 min. from Belleayre Ski Resort and 15 min. from Plattekill Ski & Tubing Resort. It's
also a 10 min. drive to shopping, several golf courses and fabulous restaurants. Located just a few miles off Route 28, but the quiet & tranquility
feels like a million miles away.
Red Kill Mntn. Road is a private road shared by 8 up-scale homes. There is a nominal for road maintenance which gets done in the fall. (approx. $300).
In the winter, a local farmer plows the snow from both the road & the driveways (approx. $350/yr.), ensuring the cabin is always accessible. 4 of the
8 neighbors have now transplanted into full-timers. (We all keep a helpful eye out for each other... I once got a call from a neighbor driving by who
noticed the master bedroom balcony door was left open. Fortunately, we were an hour away, turned around and corrected it.)
The Pond
The 1/3+ ac. Spring-fed Pond was designed & engineered by LaFever Pond Specialists. 200 ft. of underground piping captures several springs across the
mountain, bringing cool, clean water to 2 points in the pond - one from a 5ft. high rock wall at front of pond, and the second pipe under a huge
triangle diving rock along side of pond. The 5 ft. high rock wall lining the front of pond is a perfect jumping off point, where the depth was
extended to 12+ feet deep. The triangle diving rock is easier for young children to jump from. (we call it a diving rock, but you should never dive
into any pond) Spend the afternoon lounging on a float, while enjoying the vast mountain views. There is a small pier with a ladder making it easy to
enter & exit the pond. Stocked with hatchery-bred largemouth bass, the pond is a fisherman's dream. It's also fun to hand-feed the fish with fish
pellets. In the winter, the pond becomes a perfect private ice skating rink. (please supervise children at all times around pond)
The House
3-4 bdrms, 2.5 ba. with stunning red oak floors thru-out. The house is an Alta Log Home with a large addition and wrap around decks added 3 yrs. ago.
The first floor offers a large, bright eat-in kitchen/great room with vaulted ceilings with electric skylights w/rain sensors. The kitchen includes

walk-in closet, full bath, and amazing views from a Honeymoon Balcony, where you can start your day off right, sipping your morning coffee, enjoying
the mntn. views.
The expansive master bedroom also includes an over-sized "Cowboy" Copper & Nickel-plated Soaking Tub. There is also a unique "Tree of Life" Gas Stove.
Trimmed with glass on 3 sides and wrought iron leaf patterns which create dancing shadows on the ceiling at night. The stove is set against river-rock
wall and trapezoid windows looking out at forest ferns. There are also a few hidden doors built into the upstairs addition; a storage room door across
from the walk-in closet, and a ski equip. closet located at top of landing.
There is a full basement under the new addition. It's the perfect place for playing pool table/ping pong/air hockey without invading the quietness of
the rest of the home. (the combo game table is also for sale)
