@mathozero @mathozero The Australian accent evolved from the English accent as the convicts were deported to Australia. The Aborigines (native Australians) were not treated well and did not play a part in the formation of our accent. But you can choose to not like it if you want - it might sound strange to you because you do not hear it as often.

@9GymGuy when do we boast about our multiculturalism?? maybe melbourne, but that's only comparing to other cities within australia.. i must say we do have turkish, greek, chinese and african hosts/presenters/advertisers that i know of and seen. :/

Why does Australia boast about their multiculturalism, when all the Media (Tv Dramas, News, Game Show Hosts, Adverts, etc are all white people? Where are the Chinese, Koreans, Indians, Muslims, Africans. People say America is racist...........maybe they are but not on TV

@shannonjhanlen Well if you watch Media Watch enough, the chances of seeing them doing a story on themselves is not bad, although they only do it about 3 times a year. Check out my video "Media Watch: Jonathan Holmes targets himself" and that may give you pleasure lol.
