The hunger strike is not also known as the blanket protest. They're two separate events. The blanket protest began in 1976 and was followed by the dirty protest. The dirty protest, if my memory serves me correctly, ended the same day as the 1981 hunger strike began. The 1981 hunger strike was also the second strike the IRA went on after a strike in 1980.

  • @haynsy233 They didn't. That was wrong, I won't go on about how wrong treatment has been in the past and patronise you. The later situation was though that NI voted to remain a part of the UK and most there wanted to remain a part. That was under democracy and the vote. I know many Irish hate the English and I don't blame them either.

  • @Hellsconsort The only reason reason people were killed in Ireland was over the English... They had no reason coming to the irish people's lands nor any lands that they invaded.... the only terrorist was the English and Thatcher..... Before the English came to Ireland the lands were safe and we were at peace look at the trouble they have caused in Ireland now!!!

    Hypocrite i think not!!!

  • @09marty09 IRA forcing unification through war 'invasion' on NI, yes that would be terrorism. British Empire died decades ago. Bomb part of the UK - NI, Manchester, yes we will retaliate, manufacture jihadists, yes we will retaliate.

Stop feeling so fucking persecuted. We have our troubles with recession and immigration, we don't care about you really, as you shouldn't about us.

  • @haynsy233 I.E. you're a hypocrite.

  • @haynsy233 Quite sure the soldiers would have been happy to leave if IRA heads and tribal religious people weren't killing their own. You know the Irish invaded England in past times too and the Celts aren't even the origional people of Ireland. Origional Britons are from Basque, 15k years ago, Celts arrived 6k years ago. Empires invaded and dominated each other in past times, that's how it went. IRA bullies just couldn't take democracy - voted land split and enforced on the Irish like Englandb4

  • @Stu3100 You can take it and shove it up your arse.

What is it btw? Bloody Sunday marksmanship badge?

  • @kleistss

i've no guts, received one the highest awards for Gallantry from the Queen, and i'm not English, Scottish, now wind it in fuckface!
