Whew... what a workout! This game can wear ya down pretty fast. Well, it's a good game too, but I wouldn't call it my favorite DK game. You have the option of playing this game with Bongos or a regular controller... but this game has a lot less meaning without the bongos. Fortunately, I've played this game WITH the bongos. If you bought the game new or even used, there's not much of an excuse not to have the bongos.
Alright, enough with the bongo talk. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is all about DK's rumble in the jungle and he goes around beating up people. The game doesn't really have much of a point, but it has some clever gameplay mechanics and is a rush while it lasts. Also released on Wii with New Play Control. Enjoy.
I played a retail demo of the GameCube version some years ago. Using the Bongos is fun, though the hands do get tiresome. Made by Nintendo's newly established EAD Tokyo, who later made Super Mario Galaxy (and its recent sequel) for Wii. Playing Jungle Beat without Bongos does lose more meaning to it... Although that might be in question concerning the New Play Control! re-release on the Wii.
