Its about our 12th day of walking around The Gambia and we planned to stop at The Gambia Horse & Donkey Trust fora day off and to see the place where our donkeys (Neil & Paddy) had come from. As we approached the village we could hear singing in the distance and the nearer we got the louder the singing got until eventually we were surrounded by at least 50 singing and clapping kids, who proceeded to guide us into the Horse & Donkey stables. Its a beautiful memory (of many) from the expedition and if you could see my eyes behind those dark sunglasses, you'd see tears of pure happiness at being greeted in such a way. The footage was shot by fellow expedition member and photographer, Jason Florio.
Apologies for the poor quality. Not sure why its this way as it doesn't play like this from the actual footage(?)
