@acat46 His running rich as fuck mate.. n in a car like this he would have a rev cut out to protect the engine no doubt............ rotars if well looked after pumping out big power can last the distance unlike the usual bullshit about em is said: "Oh you hit 20,000 K's time fora rebuild.. pff

hey its all about the tunning on the rotory engine,and it will last long,i saw on youtube under peter laquis 20b rx7.guys that car is a street car stock gearbox stock supension,PUMP GAS,704hp 578ft,and 9.67sec,the guy is from trinidad he has 2 rx7 with 20b street car and he builds and tunes his self,i saw his phone num and i call him ,humble guy but knows a lot about rotories,tell me what u guys think,and good job guys

@zeroyon i see.. between VTEC engine and the Rotary which is better?? just curious..
i have a question. when he over rev it many times doesn't make the engine blow?? how about the turbo?? if you do that many time it surely wear out the engine and blow the engine right?? correct me if i'm wrong..

@acat46 It's a rotary engine. They have much less rotating mass than a comparable piston engine. With a huge turbo and the port work that he was using there, you have to put it past 6000rpm before it even makes a lot power. The turbo is so big it will flow air past 10,000rpm. Sometimes he would take it as far as 12,000, but not typically. You don't normally blow a rotary from over-revving it like you might a piston engine. They blow from improper tuning. (which is what was being fixed here)

@zeroyon i know its rotary engine and its a very complex piece of engineering.. you have to mod alot to achieve that power.. but the problem whit rotary is its life span. it can't be overhaul it reach it life span right???

@acat46 It's actually a very simple piece of engineering. That's the beauty of the motor. The only mods he was doing to the internals of the motor was in the porting. Proper bridgeport with all the right parts bolted on, and you've got a beast on your hands. Stock parts = cheap to rebuild when you blow it up.
Anytime you push 600hp+ out of a small engine, you're asking for trouble. It's not a matter of if, but when it blows up. Learn how to rebuild for cheap if you're drag racing.

@rx7outlaw Join the forum at Zeroyon and look for Head's FC. He has a long, detailed thread about the current state of the project. It's completely out of control now. This video is from 2003.
