  • Yes, it was hot last summer and I happened to find that shot. She was hot after hanging outside for a bit. The girl laying on her back is quite normal. She gets confused when she's upside down and just lays there until you remove her. lol it's almost as if she wants you to change her diaper.

    That means they're on attack mode, frighten & wants to give out warning (When their feathers puffs out). But if your budgie is doing that occassionally like when running around the floor & not fighting, it means it wants to or about to jump & take off. Some budgies don't have a good balance while preparing for a take off while frighten so they tend to spread out their wings in awkard poses. Apparently mine was just overheating while doing very heavy breathing.
