It has nothing to do with "saving" an animal. It's part of the research being done at vet hospitals and universities worldwide to understand the process by which cattle digest food...and how the enzymes are produced...

Lol...the point of the research into the digestive system of the cattle is to save cattle from diseases that affect the digestive system.... hahaha...so yes, in fact it is to save cows.
