  • What an excellent tour. Thanks Horizontaal for posting this!

Did the gas station that's located somewhere near the Lewis-Clark Resort

sell flintlocks like they used on the L&C expedition? Do you know the name of the gas station or its location.

  • Thanks, LB. The gas station, hm... I think it was the first or second gas station along the trail in Idaho - coming from Montana.

  • I used to live and work on the ranch you have to travel through to get to Lemhi pass! One of the most exciting summers of my life was spent there!

  • @pete Really? Wow.I can imagine you had a great time there. I spent there only one day and one night, and I met some of the friendliest people. Especially in Dillon and of course grandma, who was working in the Tendoy Store for over sixty years - I hope she still does. Maybe you know her.

  • The trip took me four days, Ed. The whole route is signposted and has lots of monuments and landmarks that tell the story of Lewis and Clark.

  • Don't follow , they are dead trails.

  • Wow. Sure brings back memories. In 2004 I took a solo L & C trip. Started in Tx.. then to St Louis. Mostly followed the L & C trail to the Pacific. My "horse" was a 96 Impala SS. Did some camping or roughed it at Motel 6. Went to Yellowstone and other places off the trail. From Ft Clatsup, I followed the Pacific Coast Hwy to San Francisco... then through central California, Arizona, N. Mexico and home. 6700 miles in 3 1/2 weeks. Best time of my life. Love your pics... and the tune.

  • Thanks for the nice pictures. How long did this trip take? I didnt know they have the trail represented with roads. I hope to get there someday thanks to this video.
