I use a couple different fingerings for this piece but overall a very nice rendition

Segovia used to get Ponce to write pieces in the style of long dead composers and as a prank pretend that they were written by them. Check out the Segoiva Ponce Letters, a good book.

I have a CD of John Williams (Guitar Recital) it said it was written by A. Scarlatti. confusing. Anyway, it's a very beautiful piece and you played it very good! I started to practice it today I hope to get better :)

OK, I have done some checking. This was indeed written by Ponce in the "style of Alessandro Scarlatti". I will correct the title. Thanks to all for pointing this out.

This is by Ponce , as well as the the "Weiss" suites Segovia used to play , (Check the Scarlatti K. catalogue if you want)

I will certainly check into this. I'm looking at the published music right now (Berendol Music Limited, transcribed by Carl van Feggelen) and I have an old John Williams recording (on vinyl! "The Virtuoso Guitar" Everest 3195). Both of these clearly state this is Alessandro Scarlatti. I will stand corrected if this is not true.
