  • @TheMacmurdo That is great! I imagine him to be a great guy from all the interviews I have heard. There does remain that enigmatic and apparently derogatory comment made in Japan during the Made in Japan album but maybe it wasn't him. Anyway thanks for your feedback and long live the creative genius and immense talent of Deep Purple:)

  • @turockandar Stood next to him at the bar a few times back in the Gillan band days, he was always freindly and down to earth, Top Man!, can't say i know him personally but he is very amiable and would certainly talk to anyone...big Blackmore fan but have heard he's not as approachable.

  • @TheMacmurdo Do you actually know him personally? I have has the good fortune of getting to know a number of world famous musicians through my work such as Peter Gabriel, Sting, Tracey Chapman, Bruce Springsteen, Rachel Z, Steve Hacket, Lenny White, Keith Richards (just to buy a guitar from him and have him sign it), Rodney Holmes, Jim Wieder etc... but it would blow my mind to be able to speak to Gillian , Morse or of course the legendary Blackmore..even if he is not reputed very amiable:(

  • @turockandar Will ask Gillan next time i see him & Bless your cotton socks by the way :-)

  • @TheMacmurdo She is Scottish and I studied at St Andrews too. As you see someone else here told me it has a pejorative connotation but I am thankful for your comment because Gillian seems to have said it in a positive manner:)

  • @turockandar It's not condescending in any way, don't know where abouts in England your girlfriend lived, but oop north it's a freindly way of thanking someone, simple as

  • @disabledmind oh! ole then !!!

  • @hazor777 you were doing so well but then u had to bring money into it.....U are a cynic but let us believe that Art is greater than money for all our sakes !

  • great...great...great...great...deep purple for all life!!! wonderful version

  • I think Steve Morse brought this band to their musical potential. They may not reap the commercial status they had, but they have reached new levels musically. As a matter of fact, they do very well financially.Just goes to show......
