In most of the audio footage where astronauts mention objects floating beside the shuttle, what they are likely talking about is debris that has broken off during launch, which they have to report in case the integrity of the space craft has been compromised.
In the final piece of footage from 'The Tether Incident', those doughnut-shaped objects are photographic artefacts produced by zooming in on a point of light.

Agreed! Also you may think I'm weird but I think the UFO thing may be far far bigger than what we think. I believe there is a major link between human begins and the ET's. I finished watching an 8hr documentary on Ancient Egypt and lets just say the human race is far older than what we were taught. In the movie they claim that the Egyptians learned there science from an even more ancient civilization that dates back to 23,000 years ago or 18,000 years before ancient Egypt.
