Ever since my guitar teacher introduced me to jazz over a decade ago, I have been enchanted by Autumn in New York. Inspired by great interpretations by Ella Fitzgerald, Jo Stafford and Frank Sinatra, I have managed to learn the song by heart. Hope you enjoy it!
Autumn in New York is a jazz standard composed by Vernon Duke in 1934, for the Broadway musical Thumbs Up!
My name is Maaike Siegerist. I am part of the pop/jazz duo Daisy Enjazzed as well as the lead singer of the progressive metal band Alerion, but that's quite a different cup of tea :)
You have a truly lovely voice........... It's so nice to see and hear someone of your age performing a jazz classic.
