By the time they're putting powder in the shoes, it's too late. Those shoes are SHOT by now. They have to put CLEAN feet into the shoes all the time so the shoes don't ruined.

@lelib2007 I guess you need to work on your 9 yr olds. Ive never had a problem getting boys to take a shower....and its not a "Theory".....its fact. When you walk around in your socks and then put on your shoes, whatever your socks picked up will turn into a soup when your feet start sweating while wearing shoes....hence....dont let your kids walk around in socks and then put on their shoes. It destroys the shoes and turns them and your feet into a stink factory. Common sense really....

Thats what happens when you let them walk around wearing nothing but socks and then let them put their shoes on. Whatever they have walked in with the socks now turns into nasty soup in the shoes when the feet sweat. It isnt rocket science....A bath everyday works wonders too.
