How to get started

All you really need to know is html and maybe CSS. And after that, you can add one additional skill at a time --like SQL, PHP, etc --as needed. It's not nearly as hard as this person makes it sound.

You sound like to want to discourage people. you do not have to hire a programmer to have a site. There are a lot other people that helps on You tube that give the "essentials" to satart a business online. So, stop discouraging people. Your video was no help.

Good idea about not trying to do everything yourself. If you can find a good partner who can do something that you can't do while you can do something that s/he can't, that's going to be a situation that should really be worked on.
