Of the various modern Irish bands I've heard -- the Clancy Brothers, the Dubliners, the Kelly Brothers, and a few others, I think the Irish Rovers are the best. Will Millar truly had a smile in his voice; too bad he left the group. And God rest Jimmy Ferguson.

I used to listen to the Rover's when I was a boy. I had a favorite song by them, and now can't remember the name. It was about a warrior, or someone who went to war. I think it took place in the old days, as I remember (vaguely) something about a spear and a sword. Anyone have any ideas what song it could be?
