I was 15 when I headed out one weekend on a mtn bike. Went to a local Park with streams/forests etc. I was solo, so it hit me more as the headphones filled my ears. As if it were narrating and I watched the park come alive - I kid you not. It was American Beauty and I don't care what anyone says about studio work. I can't say that the album changed my life, but it was about as comforting as one could imagine. It was just a big hug and good friend that day.

Not all Deadheads were hippies. Not that there's anything wrong with hippies. It's just that I wish all these new clips and documentaries would show that you didn't have to wear tie-die or grow dredlocks. In the end it came down to the music, the unbelievable jams.

It's tough to get to record news multiple reports, even though in this one they announce that there will be more! I was lucky enough to have been at all of the shows depicted except in the 67 in the park!
