Note: I had a cold while I was recording. Therefore nasaly voice.

Anyways, hi. Inspired by Vechs' maps and TF2, I made a capture/control point that can be used in Minecraft custom PvP maps. I'm pretty new to redstone, and this is just a proof of concept. The redstone can be much more compact than it is in this video too, so if you can improve this design, I'll be glad to accept that as a video response.

Special thanks for naito58 from Reddit for coming up with the idea of a point-capture map in minecraft, and thanks to CNBMinecraft for teaching me everything I know about redstone.

  • So maybe Im not fully grasping the concept here (its early in the morning when Im reviewing this) but what part of it forces you to stand on it so that you cant just step off and back on after 15 seconds?

  • @TheGoonLord I don't really know how to explain that in words. Your best bet in this case would just be to test that out for yourself on the map download, to just try that.

  • Whats the name of that timer you have or where is something that describes what it is/how to make it?

Much thanks in advance and awesome control point :)

  • @TheGoonLord It's pretty easy to explain, really. Imagine an AND gate with 11 inputs, if all are on, the output turns on. The first input is connected to the second via an 8 repeater delay, the second to the third, and so on. Basically just have a zigzag chain of repeaters which lead to a block every 8 repeaters (2 fully delayed repeaters). Then add a redstone torch above each block, a giant redstone wire above all that, and invert that for the output. I hope this helped, and thanks a lot!

  • plz download link!!!

  • @sounnikoura Cobblestone looks pretty good in the texture pack I use (custom one that a friend made) but I thought I'd record the video in the default texture pack so people could still recognize what's what. Sorry.

  • @LordHardcoreChicken That would certainly help compacting my timer, yep! The only thing is that I really want my creations to be made in vanilla, so it won't be a hassle for people to have to install mods just to play one map.
