It makes things very clear. Youtube has effectively been sabotaged and many of us are not happy about it one bit.
Now I accept the fact that Youtube have the right to alter the service they provide but this recent change goes way beyond a simple alteration. It effectively sabotages our channels and is not a logical progression of the old format.

Personally I would like to see a new version of Youtube be created as it is very possible to do as the expertise is very much in place with Linux and Mozilla Firefox being two shining examples. If the creators of companies such as these would come together along with the millions of other programers and coders then we could create something truly fantastic. A place where the viewing figures are not doctored (which amounts to no less than a crime), and alterations are made by consensus.

There are already 100's of millions of Gold and Silver coins worth of computer hardware out there to be utilized and it belongs to YOU !!.
The Computer you are using now can be utilized to host your channel along with other important data that can be cloned and made available whenever you come on line.
Some of us can even contribute dedicated units with processor power and storage space and it may even be possible to be paid for that provision depending on the level of donations

The legal aspect can be funded by donations also which can be displayed on a live feed in real time and also recorded on the donors channels too, if they enable the read out of that information.

Further more we do not require a "Big Brother" PM system that can be snooped or even used against us falsely or otherwise. We only require an email link on our channel page which can be any email provider we choose.
I also suggest a "Skype" kind of conferencing service that would allow groups of people to talk or text chat at the same time.

If you are fed up with the constant stream of errors in Youtube and/or the blatant censorship of viewing figures then please join me by embracing this vision too. We can easily create a successful alternative if the right people come on board and get the job done, but they will also need YOU to help promote it and even more importantly USE IT.

United we can have what "WE" want which ironically is our individuality :D

AND FREEDOM !!!!

YouTube seems to think that people will just put up with shit like this because it's fucking YOUTUBE. Yeah, and MySpace used to be fucking MYSPACE! Noone would ever move on from such a big and prominent website, right? Or use another provider than AOL. Or a browser other than IE. Or a search engine other than YAHOO! . Or an e-mail program other than Outlook. Or an instant messenger other than ICQ.

You get my drift. YouTube doesn't.

It's been getting progressively worse for the past three years now, youtube in the old days was an information hub, it was far more than just a video sharing site, now it's being deliberately destroyed to either stop the spread of information or make it easier for the giant corporations to advertise. They're clever by doing it gradually, they know most people will simply adapt, just like changes in society, just as long as it's a gradual and not a rapid transition.

any word on the effect, if any, of the Feb 18/19 boycott?...don't really need a boycott. Now that i cannot easily find which comment someone replied to, why waste time reading the comments?..i guess utube wants us to spend less time socializing, just watch vids so they get pay-clicks. guess what GOOGLE..You are about to regret buying utube:)))))i used to spend 6 hours per night here. Now?..about 15 minutes. who needs it anymore? Google ruins everything they touch and forces u to sign up?..bye :D

I'm sure there are code-wizard truth seekers who have had it with YT's games and are working on alternative solutions. YT with G00gle's omnipresent curiousness behind it is not the best place anyway, so alternatives will be welcomed by many I'm sure. If that happens, by messing with the looks etc. YT has shot at it's own foot.
