this is true music.....lets get back to the roots of hip hop......."death to auto-tune"......

best band ever...can cover all genres of music. If you have yet to see a Roots show, go NOW. Keep on looking for tickets, or sign up to some concert promoting company in your area and get their emails, solely for that Roots show. They come by most big cities every year. I just went in Toronto and it was hype. Tuba Gooding Jr. carried the Tuba for the entire 2 hr set. awesomeness. Black Thought has creeped into my Top 5 eMCee's of all time...blown away...GO GET TICKETS NOW...BEST BAND EVER!

they didnt go commercial. it's a live show .. they're just jammin .. if you dont go to shows then you wouldnt understand. they're suppose to move the crowd & im sorry but performing 'you got me' isnt goin to have the crowd vib'n for the entire show. best & most versatile band out there. i wish they'd go to more festivals cause they'd show them hippies how to vibe.

They HAVE changed. BUT not towards mainstream. I think they were tryin to make a statement with their last album rising down. I didnt really like that album much either but it was darker. Kinda like how the state of america is?
I think they perform those mainstream bits cus when i went to their show they did all their classics. and Half the people dont know wussup. So they play that mainstream shit to hype em back up. ?
I don't really think it's mockery, just showing how easy it would be for them to be more popular, and they choose not to go that route. They should put out a fake album full of these songs just because they can.
