@wasabisquishy Amongst other things, pointers are used for dynamic arrays. A dynamic array is one of which the size is set during runtime.

Wait i have a question. i get this but i dont understand why we need pointers? I dont see it purpose yet but im guessing maybe its something i might see when im doing object orientation? or something i need for object orientation?

Hi, I havea question: say i have char a = 'J'; and then a char* pointer1 = &a; why is it when i cout<<pointer1<<endl; it gives me J and not the address of a?

What is the point of getting the "10" output by putting in a pointer?
Can you not just " cout << a << endl;" ?
