dyno run of my civic with b16a swap (Mustang Dyno)
AEM full cold air intake
Blox intake manifold
Blox cams
Meagan exhaust header, ebay test pipe/resonator
custom 2.25" exhaust with magnaflow straight-through muffler and dual 3" tip
Apexi VAFC2 piggy-back tuner
Innovate LC-1 wideband O2
stock 13" steelies and cheap 185/70R13 tires, not rated for speed
~145 whp @8200rpm, 99 wtrq @6400 rpm
OBD-0 PR3 ecu with a low quality baseline tune on the ebay racing chip lol...

overall it seems that I would have been better off keeping the engine internals and intake manifold stock...

  • they were ok, a lot cheaper than skunk2s... they are a high rpm cam though, so if you can get your revs higher and useful up there it makes a difference. mine had max hp at redline

  • HAHAHA HOLY SHIT A PIMP (what we call 89-91 civic sedans in San Diego) my homie had one with a b16 too, we smoked a grip of cars in one day. 144 hp? very impressive. 5/5 dude, gotta show respect to dem pimps G.

  • best quarter mile time was 14.99, the power wasn't as much as I had hoped. now I am on to a new project though

  • did you convert your ecu to obd-1 or obd-2, cause you cant make any real power running obd-0. i've got a stock 1st gen b16a and im sure its putting down more then that, closer to 160whp(i/h/e).

  • i probably should have gone OBD1, would have made tuning eaiser/cheaper too. but it was OBD0

  • @aaronhume i gotta a b18 ls vtec i wanted to get stage 2 but people have told me to just get stage 1 but i dont want to be disappointed with the results what should i get?

  • @ZxMURDER if you are building it properly, do stage 2. they recommend valve springs and retainers, but if you aren't over-revving you would probably be ok if you don't upgrade those.

  • It just won't stop revving lol

  • the 1st gen B16A, depending on the car, puts between 110-115hp to the ground. So with cams, completely upgraded induction system, practically straight piped exhaust, and a pb tune, you only picked up 30-35whp? You need to take it to get tuned by some pros dawggie.

  • NEEDS B00ST lol.

  • @aaronhume alrite koo i was told there wasn't much of a difference between 1 and 2 so i had to ask thanks bro

  • Are blox cams any good?

  • 0:16 vtec baby!! lol, nice numbers bro! thats a true sleeper! that should keep up with focus SVTs

  • WTF That motherfucker revs for ever.
