We do not own the rights to this song. The title is 'Something that I want' and it was the track used in the credits for 'Tangled'. Please don't sue me Disney, this film is not for commercial gain, just for family and friends.
You can find it on iTunes if you like it by the way for just 99p, http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/something-that-i-want/id412754951?i=412754983.
We decided to take a trip to Disneyland Paris this year, none of us had been before so we were very excited, It's a long way to drive but it was worth every mile.
The drive from Calais to Disneyland took us about 3.5 hours but it was a very smooth journey. We took the toll road which cost less than €20 and the car only came to a stop when we arrived at the gates!
It was an amazing experience and we all had a wonderful time. For me, I have only 2 criticisms. Firstly, it was very expensive in the park and the resort shops. A half litre Coke costing €2.60, 6 x 330ml Cans Heineken was €10 and a whole, pre cooked Chicken was nearly €20! We found a Carrefour about a mile away and paid something like €1.20 for the coke, €4.50 for the Heineken and €7 for the chicken. Secondly, I was really surprised that there were not more characters roaming the park. You could easily queue for an hour just to meet one character, which is a bit of a hole in the day if you want to meet a few.
On the plus side however, we were lucky enough to meet fairly light queues the whole time we were there. I'd heard a few horror stories from other people so I was prepared for the worst.
We stayed at the Davy Crokett Ranch, which was awesome. The kids had a bedroom at one end of the 'cabin' and we were at the other end. Microwave, dishwasher, hob. 2 toilets and 2 showers. Coffee maker. Air con. Decking patio area and park your car right outside. The ranch had a pool, shop, bar, farm, bike rental (I think) and pony rides. We were too frightened to use any of them incase we had to remortgage the house to get back out, although the pool was free.
The film was shot entirely on a NIkon D3100 Digital SLR with the kit lens and an old Nikor 70-300 we already had. This is a fab bit of kit and for the price, I don't think it can be beaten. Everything you see was shot with this camera (good and bad). No colour correction or effects have been used in post, it's the footage straight off the SD card.
The 70-300 lens was a bit tricky to use (and a bit shaky as you can see). It doesn't have vibration reduction (VR) which really shows, especially for distant shots. Also the zoom is quite stiff and not very smooth.
The kit lens is pretty good but, if you want an auto focus (AF) video camera, this might not be for you. The AF is a bit slow and the motor is picked up by the onboard mic and is quite obvious. Also, it doesn't have a line in, so there's no escaping it unless you have another audio recording option or use the audio from another camera. Or use manual focus, which is better anyway.
FCP6 for the edit, H264 720p. We got about 12Gb of 720p footage which translates to about 2.5 hours of HD on a 16Gb SD card (make sure you get a class 10 card). SD card was £59 from Jessops.
great filming, great editing, great times! Was there last year too and had the same great time!
