  • how did you get both PCs to output to the same file?

i am trying to do this and all the pcs work but i cant figure out how to make the files rendered on multiple PC's save to 1 PC

  • I used 3ds max for this one, combined with backburner, you should look up the document: down on the farm, it describes the advantages from networked rendering and also basic setup guidelines.. :) I can message you the link if you want?

  • i've been trying all day to set this up and it's quite hard. how exactly did you get this working.

  • @thelasthallow Not yet, however I think it wouldn't be too hard to scale it up to more computers, you just have to deploy backburner server and 3ds max to another server.

  • @Marabunta2048 have you tryied using more computers since you did this test?

  • I didn't notice your reply earlier ^^'

An i7 is more then enough to render a scene like this, but it was a test to see if I could do a networked render :)

  • wow and the dude who created this vid took 6 months to reply to me. i found out through trial and error myself. there was little to no info on the internet how to do it exactly but i figured it out. now i know you used a net render to do this but how long did it actually take to render out? using a core i7 should have been enough for a simple scene like this.

  • someone i know is trying to start a business doing this sort of thing and his computer sucks. so he sends me the file and i render it out for him.

  • Mostly 3ds max than maya. btw are you doing this for personal use or organizational use? im doing this for a college and i was looking at Boxx technologies and i gave them a call and they were able to give a few pointers on the subject.

  • using what? 3ds max? maya? i hate how there is such little instruction on the internet on how to actually do net rendering. even on the adobe website it hasent been updated sience like 2002 or something

  • yeah sorry i didnt see that shit lol. im working on my own renderfarm right now and i ran into the same problem but if i have any problems i contact you.
