Former Philadelphia 76er's mascot "Big Shot" imitates and dances to a famous Michael Jackson song during a home game at the Spectrum. Broadcasted sometime in the early/mid 80's.

why did they get rid of big shot?

When the team got their 'new look' in 96, they wanted a new mascot to go along with it. Thus, Big Shot was fired and Hip-Hop was born.

Big Shot is a legend. He should ceremonially stomp on Hip Hop and moonwalk over his dead carcass...then retake his place as the true mascot of the Sixers

The difference between Big Shot and Hip Hop is simple.... Big Shot performed in front of fans; Hip Hop ... he's the only one in the stands - the Sixers are so horrible, Andre Iguodala, Lou Williams, Evan Turner (have you heard him talk?), Jrue Holiday are a laughing stock!

Both Big Shot and Hip-Hop suck. The Sixers should go back to the drawing board and design a whole new costume.
