Hello, YouTubers a "fun-run" video with my HD camera secured to my vintage Team Associated RC 10. This one from 1989, with many improvements made to it, since the original one produced back in 1984. The 1989 kit featured a graphite chassis, universal swingshafts, wider front arms, a new front shock tower, new steering blocks, new idler gears, and turnbuckles. Awesome improvements to a already great, world popular, and history making RC vehicle! Mine features "era-correct" electronics as follows...a Novak HRV-510 reversing ESC capable of handling 6 to 10 cells, Epic Green Machine Roar-1991 short stack stock RC Motor, 2 channel "micro" Futaba receiver(FP-R102H), Futaba "micro" steering servo(FP-S132H), all controlled by a Futaba Magnum Junior radio(FP-T2PBKA). It has full ball bearings, "Pure-Tech" racing products velcro battery hold down, and Lunsford 3mm. "quick adjust" stainless turnbuckles, I did change out the shocks to the classy gold anodized ones. Not a "shelf-queen" RC, but a runner to enjoy, I used a Venom 3,000mAh Ni-MH battery, with 23/81 gearing making this video, it ran pretty good considering its' extra payload being my camera!
Watch in HD if you can, enjoy, rate, and comment. Please add me to your friends list and subscribe. Thanks, Enginenut :-)

  • What kind of battery does the remote control take/use?

  • @BourneToLiveRich The remote takes 8 "A" batteries. Hope you enjoyed the video!!!

  • how hard is it to find parts for these bad boys?

  • @grasspubes32 Best place would be eBay, there are always RC 10's up for sale, all years, as well as vintage parts to keep them running.

  • I wish I had the original RC10! Right there is RC history :)

  • @jackienwoody Very true..

  • @enginenut It was pretty cool to see the POV of the car (fast). I just found a car with the same remote control but not battery or battery plate, so gotta find one...

  • @OnEbayNow TYPO

    *never had an RC10*

  • Takes me back to the mid-late 80's

Never had an RC!) as they we out of my B-day/Christmas budget.

Had to settle for a Blackfoot(which I miss and loved)

My best friend did have an RC10 and we blasted that thing all over the streets and nearby hills.

First got turned on to RC when I saw a Tamiya Frog back in the early 80's =D

    Thanks for posting this!
