  • People in the suburbs have a say in environmental impact? Is this before or after the built and named their neighborhoods after the things they destroy (deer park, shady oak) or is it their strips malls which they drive their suv to and load up on imported goods. If a foreign corporation is so evil then I guess it is time to park the BMW and the Audi. Losers.

  • Your comments would carry more weight (any weight at all?) if you gave your credentials. Or your real name. You don't have to drive an Audi to understand the vital importance of EMS transport or that school-age children will be stuck at crossings rather than in class. This issue is about balancing economic progress with human safety and the environment. It's about an inclusive conversation, not being steam-rollered by a foreign corporation. It's about protecting our air and water resources.

  • Wow I'd hate to have to go to that high school and say I'm a railfan.

  • I agree with rsppap. Supporting rail transportation is supporting an environmentally friendly alternative to road traffic.

  • They need to realize that these tracks were there long before them! If they dont like it they should move!

  • Boo hoo boo hoo hoo hoo increase train traffic. SHIT! Come to Frankfort, Ky. Train traffic is deader than a hammer. If you can't take the heat than stay out of the kitchen.

  • You mean they're protesting the incrase of traffic caused by this rather than the end of a historic railroad(EJ&E) that's been around since 1889! Weirdos.

  • Probably every one in this video are positively affected by rail traffic at least inderectly. In other words they have benefitted from it in some way. They are all NIMBYs. Wealthy neighborhoods all reap benefits from industrialization on some one elses' street.
