Habeas Corpus has been with us for 800 years. It gave the British citizen the right not be detained without charge. It also made the presumption of innocence until proven guilty into law. This fundamental foundation of British law has been upheld until today. Terror suspects in the UK have had these rights taken away under the Terrorism Act. Only suspicion is required to detain these people for 28 days. Suspects can be held under house arrest (control orders) indefinitely.
Maloud Sihali was arrested under suspicion of making ricin. He has been cleared in court, but remains under house arrest. This is only one example of how miscarriages of justice have occurred through the climate of fear, and anti-terror laws.

Habeas Corpus means nothing if it is not for every person. Suspending it is losing this so called "war on terror." The fact is that our politicians are now more powerful than any king we've had for 800 years. This includes tyrants such as Henry VIII, James I and Charles I. They only dreamed of that level of power. It disgusts me.

Thanks for posting!. The Magna Carta was the first ever right's for a man ever drawn up in the world and should never be forgotton or betrayed as it has been, I vow that I will fight this destruction of our great country to the last man and I will never stop until they are all brought to justice!

Lies, lies, lies.... Its long overdue time that the mainstream media began disclosing this, but oh! they won't, why, because they are owned just as we all are.
