This video shows my first attempt at integrating my generative music module into a game. I used my own SpringWorld engine for this and I must say I really enjoy the result!
Four parameters control the music: Intensity, upness, happyness and harshness. The intensity is determined by speed, accelation and also the number of bursting rocket engines. The upness is only determined by the Y-coordinate for the velocity. The happyness is determined by damage level and energy left. The harshness is determined by weapons currently firing, close enemies and attacking enemies.
