I've seen this ivory handle model for sale which said it was a good camping/field knife.. would you agree? I ask cause you mentioned it only as a kitchen knife... I'm looking for a good all-around knife that is non-folding

I like the color of your knife, looks like the yeller handles on sodbusters :D

I traded a Gunny for a Canadian Special recently. I love the Canadian Special. Feels great in the hand. It's an all around great camp knife for battoning, food prep, etc. It will probably do well at field dressing game and cleaning fish as well. I'm extremely impressed by this knife. One of my favorites so far.

hey Andy good to put a face with a name! i missed out on the bark river "pass around", good to see it! thanks for commenting on my vids and adding me as a friend! thanks !
Thanks for the video! I was thinking about getting the one with the two-toned micarta handle, myself.
If it's not too much trouble, how do you sharpen yours? That convex grind has me a bit confused...

I looked up some of the many good YT vids on convex sharpening. It's easy with a little practice. You'll do well.
