Make sure you bring a spare Skull Key to level 22. Without one, you won't be able to get the game's best secret: The flame thrower. Hidden in a hidden room to the right of the bonus icon, This is the best weapon in the entire game (Just look at how quickly it kills the Tonguestein monster!) as well as a massive help against Dr. Tongue in the final battle. Make sure you use it wisely though, the 400 ammo you get with it is all the ammo you'll ever find for it...

Can you get the flamethrowe on the sega genesis? I've already tried two times.

The first time I drank a blue potion and turned into a ghost. (I was trying not to take damage) I went and opened the room and went directly to the right. I heard a sound of having collected/picked up something but nothing!

The second time I actually got too see what happened. I went in there normally and my health just went up.

Can this only be done on PC/snes?

I'm sick and tired of everyone talking about the damned shotgun rumor. IT DOESN'T EXIST. There i just saved you hours of your life. I've checked every wall of levels 9, 22, and especially 14. Level 14 is the rumored keeper of the shotgun, but i check EVERY SINGLE DAMN WALL... and nothing. It's bullshit, and i'm tired of hearing it.

The only real way you can find out is to go into the prgramming of the game itself, and search for the shotgun.

@psychosissiksicsix well from what I was just recently told, you only get the Flamethrower on the SNES, apparently on the Sega, you get a shotgun....level 9 or 11 all the way in the top right hand corner of the screen however I haven't found too much on it just yet

@ratub12 my tip for that would be to let all the victims die except for one. That way in every level you can collect him and get out real fast! (be careful on some of the later stages though)
