PS3 Commercial - Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan (JPN)

I think this is the coolest game trailer I have ever seen. I strongly recommend watching this video in high quality. Is it me, or does this look remarkably like a Way of the Samurai game? I want this game soooo bad! Unfortunately, there are no plans to translate it to English. *tear* ;(

Update: (09-17-09) However, Yakuza 3 IS being translated into English!

Hey, I figure we're lucky that they translated Yakuza 3. Did you know? It just released last week. :) It's probably the best English equivalent to this game so far, at least from what I've seen in the trailers.

Personally I think it looks like a (slightly bad) version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma, have you ever played this? It is a really good game with lots of replay appeal. The only thing it doesn't have are the nifty minigames but definitly worth a watch and it's out ages :D

jambo310: They don't even compare, they're like totally different genres. Games like this and Way of the Samurai are like sandbox games with strong role playing elements and sword-fighting combat. Games like Ninja Gaiden are mindless hack-and-slash games where you just fight one enemy after another where the story progresses in a linear fashion and you usually get no choice in how the story progresses.

I fumbled around with the Japanese demos for awhile but couldn't really figure anything out. I'm eagerly hoping for an English port.

Just for the record this game isn't Yakuza 3, it's a spinoff of the Yakuza series.
