question, im american and im trying to start a small league where i live. im planning to make a few hurleys (dont have an ash shortage where i live). do i need to make them from the stump? will it be significantly stronger? if i cut down a tree id like to use all of it, so is it that much more strong? or can i cut from regular boards

@neilhosey It descends from an ancient sport. That was more like shinty but with use of the hand. I really think they should make a permanent composite of shinty and hurling and make it more like the original game.
