@LMB73882 kool thanks a lot

Update: The top of the helix now has most of the mountain built on top of it (still in the plaster stage). We have not been able to work on it in a regular basis so it is taking a long time. Once the mountain is done enough to remove the protective tape from the track I will try to post an updated video.

The lead is a SD45 followed by a pair of U33C's with a U25C and GP7 (the last two are dummies)

good choice of music and what is the height difference between your first level and second level? im attempting to do 3 levels and i wanna know what a good height between each level

@nawrock It is about 20'' between levels, just seem to work well and left enough room for some good size buildings on the lower level if desired. In this case there is a work desk on the lower level that the tracks cross and we needed enough room between levels for the desk to be useable.

very nice. What is the longest train you can run up the helix with 2 Katos pulling?
I want to build one but I run 65 car trains, 2 locos.

I don't how long of a train we have run up the helix I think about 30-35, but you would not be able to pull 65 cars up with 2 engines. My best guess would be 4 two on the head end and two mid-train helpers and possibly a helper on the rear.
The cars we pull are weighted to NMRA standards witch is a lot of weight, and without a helper on the rear if the train breaks apart.... lookout because those cars pick up some serious speed if they get loose.
