http://www.CypressCovePublishing.com/ or http://www.CookbookDude.com My son & daughter came with me to the Mandeville, Louisiana Barnes & Noble bookstore for a cookbook signing and a Rice Cooker Meals and Slow Cooker Meals demonstration. This event was designed to help sell my 3 cookbooks on sale there. We made "Nutty Chocolate Fudge" in the slow cooker the day before. We brought the ingredients for the "Blackeyed Pea & Sausage Jambalaya" and cooked it in the rice cooker there in the store. The meal cooked in the slow cooker was "Chicken Fajita Stuffed Potato". My daughter's job was to talk to every person who entered and offer them a sample. Bless her heart! She spoke non-stop and had her sales pitch perfected with all the right keywords to hook the prospects and reel them in. She was very effective and because of that we sold 40 books total. My son did the filming and helped me with dishing out samples. I love being placed by the front door - the delicious aroma of the meals cooking can be smelled from outside and throughout the entire store!
