Artist Robert Irwin speaks about his body of work and its influences in this presentation at the University of Virginia. Known internationally for pushing boundaries of art and perception, Irwin is the 2009 Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medalist in Architecture. The award is one of U.Va.'s highest honors and is jointly presented by the University and by the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, which owns and operates Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's home.

  • This is a fantastic lecture. As a composer of classical music, I can relate 100% to everything that he is saying, although we work with different media. All artists can learn from this lecture.
