The Dead playing "The Women Are Smarter" at the Gorge Amphitheater on Saturday, May 16, 2009. Warren has a very nice extended solo and I got some good close up shots of his finger picking and slide guitar work.

    woohoo

  • ahh i miss mikey hart and bill kruetzemen. Dead Tour 2009 was THE END OF THE ROAD!... i love furthur though

  • We were at this show! Thanks for sharing! Love it!

  • love the walk in to the gorge , laugh the walk out... and i love what fv says down there in another comment bobbys fans are people too! lol sure jerry died and pig pen died and so will we all , but the music goes on . i saw the last show at the gorge , before THIS tour and i saw the first show in greensboro of this tour..they opened the tour with the 'music never stopped.'

  • JERRY died a long time ago. this insnt the original grateful dead but its better than nothing

  • I was at the show and never noticed that Bobby was playing a pink guitar...not that there's anything wrong with that. Bobby has probably nailed more strange on one summer tour than most men will in a lifetime. It was an awesome show in a perfect venue with a really great crowd. ABB's "In memory of Elizabeth Reed" was phenomenal. Bobby was out of control on "One more Saturday night". I only hope The Dead can make one more go of it soon since Phil is getting rather old (but not in the way).

  • Sounds very good. Is it Jerry Garcia*s younger brother who plays lead guitar? I've been a GD-fan since 1968.

  • What I love about Dead fans, Warren fans, ABB fans: I scanned all 4 pages of comments and didn't see one~NOT ONE~argument between "commentors", not one smart remark, not a nasty word~~only LOVE and POSITIVE VIBES....Almost every other video on YT has someone who wants to cuss out or put down someone else for their opinion...This speaks VOLUMES about the kind of people watching this....I love you guys!!! PEACE & LOVE to you!!

  • My first show at the Gorge and a great show. I was stage right spinnin - did you see me? Miss you Jerry.

  • When you listen you can tell it's not Jerry playing, but he does do a great job!
