I got a new aquarium for my goldfish. I had two, an 8-inch Ryukin (fancy-tail) and a 5-inch Red-capped Oranda, in a 29-gallon high tank. They needed more room, so I got a 55 gal tank. Neither one survived the move. Here is my tank filled with 9 (a lucky Fung Shei number) new fish: 6 Pearl Scale, one Red-capped Oranda, one Red Oranda, and one Black Moor.
i wouldnt put in anymore than 4, maybe 5 in a 55 gallon. they look beautiful, and its a step up from a 29, but ideally you need to go bigger, or rehome a couple. lovely set-up though :-)

while they seem in great shape, and 9 IS a lucky feng shui number, I think maybe thats too many fish for a 55 gallon. They wont ba able to grow properly an also your water quality will be hard to keep optimal
