one mistake I made here actually is that I put the pot back on the hot burner-- even though the burner was turned off it was still ultra hot. DON'T DO THIS 'cause it'll burn your popcorn.

P.S. I did notice how creepy it is that I keep grabbing popcorn kernels and throwing them back in the bowl. just pretend I'm feeding them to dolphins and re-filling the bowl from an exterior surplus tank.
