@AussieRaver1996 You should get a Digital Tutors Subscription because they are making the best tutorials and known throughout the world. If you currently cant afford a subscription look for digital tutors - maya tutorials on iso hunt, because I assume that you didint actually spend 10,000$ on Autodesk Maya anyway :P

@AussieRaver1996 I worked in maya for a month now but learned a lot. Check out some of my videos. The reason you should learn maya now is not only to feel much more experienced in the univeristy but also to make a portfolio. Where I am going to go (hopefully) the course requires more than just A-Levels. They want to see a portfolio of drawings on the paper and Im also going to make a demo reel with all my modelling and animations.

@megaearplugger thank you, yeh i'v already downloaded Maya, created an epic computer desk with appliances, an axe and a TV set, i know it might seem basic 3d designs, but i did this all in 3 days of using maya with some tuts from youtube

@AussieRaver1996 Evertyhing depends on your skills. On the Univeristy you picked. And on how lucky and determined you are. Also the country you live in. Here is a little advice. Start learning NOW. Dont wait till you go to University.

help me, im 15 and i think i want to become a technical 3d artist, if i learn some sort of course in university for 2-4 years, is it easy getting a job as a 3d artist, mainly for gaming?, or is it a really hard to find job and maybe waste that time learning the course??
