I have two GSD 15weeks, the girl had both ears straight up, it looked gorgeous, but one morning I found her with one ear flopped (i don't know how that happened). The boy has floppy ears but hes the runt so his body size looks more like a 8 week old puppy. By when do you think they need their ears taped?

@PhleshWound again thanks, my gsd is 5 months now and he is already getting some adult teeth in front, and one adult carnassial in the back. it shouldnt be long now, thanks for the advice:)

@TheGermanShepfan You pup's ears will stand after teething has finished. That can be as late as 8 or 9 months in some dogs.

Did this too my Akita pup, works good.

Doesn't taping their ears up like that weaken their sense of hearing?

My gsd stops people/cars in the street without his ears standing up all the time as he's so handsome, in fact people remember him beacause of his ears..I left his ears to be 'natural' as he's not a show dog & it just doesnt matter to me if they are up ot down. They do stand up but not all the time & he's absolutely gorgeous whatever.
I have a male that's 8 weeks old. One of his ears are up, and the other flops. Is it too soon to get worried?
