Monday Night Aug 25 at the Denver DNC. Illegal Anarchist Protesters stand off with Riot Police. West side of City Park on 15th Street. Recreate68 in Denver's Rocky Mountain News, reported they fled there after 350 were arrested in the park, held by Denver PD for an hour and released. Soon after this video was shot, pepper paint balls and pepper spray were used to clear the crowd and took 35 to 70 into custody. In total it's reported 100 were detained and processed with charges.

Law Enforcement kept the incident managed well. Sure, some of those who were looking for trouble and arrest got their wish. All in all, Law Enforcement kept it well contained, let some folks 'vent' frustrations, while using minimal force to protect the innocent citizens/bystanders and private/public property. Law Enforcement indeed could have easily arrested a thousand folks, rather than catch/release a few hundred, with less than a hundred charged.

  • ok, i realize you "need" a permit but why would you ask the person that you are protesting against? YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE SYSTEM TO PROTEST THE SYSTEM! Right to assemble!

  • Well, the Protestors did have a nice contained protest going on in City Park. If they stayed there, the cops would have let them assemble as long as it was within theh park. It's when they broke through Police Lines and rushed towards downtown, and were behind or within a block of several hotels the delegates were staying at, the police stopped them. When they 'got loose' at the RNC, the same kinds of folks ransacked and destroyed property for 'fun'.

  • I was in jail from nine PM (after the three hours it took to arrest us all) to almost eleven the next day.

We were kept in chicken wire cages and fed bread and water, with no medical care or beds to speak of. We slept on stone floors in a fifty to sixty-three degree room with ac pointed at us.

All of us were charged with something, and there were at least three hundred of us cycled through that place.

But, apparently the propaganda machine is well oiled and running.

  • Sounds like you were well taken care of, during your half day detention. If this occurred in; Mexico, Venezuela, North Korea, Pakistan, China, Cuba, Columbia, Mozambique, Singapore or Russia... you would have been beaten to a pulp, would still be in 'processing', and maybe never be seen nor heard from again.

Bred/Water is not all that cruel and unusual. The UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) allows for such confinement when members of the military disregard the rules/regulations.

  • I hope all these people don't call the police when their house is being broken into, because that would be hypocritical

  • It was an unlawful assembly because they were clearly hostile and were protesting in an area that they did not have a permit for.

and bootboy, if AngelKing continues to harass you just send the emails and comments to the FBI I have done that with two people on Youtube before.

these protesters need to stop thinking of themselves for once.

Oh and everyone stop whining about the war, We are killing terrorists, people that want our country destroyed. GROW UP THe Constitution is for US citizens only

  • Word. first against the wall bitch.

  • Thanks for clearing that up.

  • Fuck your permit!

  • First against the wall, motherfucker

  • SO because she was driving in the city that held the RNC she deserved to be attacked?

And Why would it becuase (you think) she is a republican? I believe in small federal government so that makes me a republican. I also believe in working for what you get and keeping as much of it as possible not giving it to poor lazy minorities

  • "a group of anarchists attack an aunt of mine at the RNC, "
