@joelombrdo any drug trafficking is an automatic death sentence, compare to the US China's drug problem is extremely lower to the US. China mostly solve this problem by shooting anyone with connection with drugs in the 50s even if you were taking drugs you will be killed as such China does not have any major drug problems anymore.

@dreadnaughtified unfortunately a lot of Chinese can't forgive as unlike other countries, the countries that wronged us in the past never truly made amends with us as such we can;t truly forgive them.

One of the reason why they are so harsh with drug crimes is because China was brought down by drugs in the past as such, Drugs is considered taboo to the extreme equal to that of something like child killing. be thankful its not in the 50s at that time your would've been shot for taking drugs as well.

peddling narcotics is considered the LARGEST taboo in china. they don't send you to prison for selling drug, they send u in and beat the shit out of u on a daily basis until u decide to quit. they kill u for selling drug; in fact, selling only a few gram of heroine is enough for a death sentence. china endured 150 yrs of humiliation thanks to drugs peddled by the british, u think they r gonna allow this guy, who happen to be british, to sell drug and get away with it?
