That was a quite schizophrenic video, showing a heel strike landing at the same time it says it follows the natural foot motion. Ridiculous.

The majority of commentators here have responded condescendingly upon viewing the runner in the video's heel-strike running form, but if you look at "ASICSAmerica" (the same uploader for the above video) page, then watch their video "ASICS Research - ASICS 33 Collection", you will discover how ASICS has performed studies examining the benefits between the two styles, and saw results that showed a 7% decline in energy effeciency in forefoot runners, than in heel-strikers.

does it support your ankles and keep you from pronating?

Heel strikers like this have no option other than learning proper form or wearing shoes like that. This guy will spend most of his runner career injured, and scratch his head and say, "Yeah but I wore these REALLY cushy shoes, how did I get hurt so often?"
Might want to consider learning proper form.
Just a thought.

The first thing they mentioned was that Asics is a company who bases their products on science and not on market trends and so, even if it would have been easy enough for them to build a zero drop shoe in a lightweight package and market it, they stuck to their studies of the thousands of runners who have their gaits and biomechanics assessed in their flagship stores around the world, their pro athletes and testers.
