This movie may be boring to some, but it offers a unique atmosphere and a dark story of the future of humanity.

Hey man,to each his own.I definately get where you're coming from and this movie really does'nt appeal to everyone, that's for sure.I personally loved the dark, dreamlike atmosphere of the movie as well as it's story.I recommend you give it another watch,it really will grow on you.I watched it the first time,I thought it was good.Liked the style and noire/sci-fi style.Watching it a second time,I saw it clearly.A dark masterpiece.

lol. "it's expected that there will be no pollution ". Currently 7 billion people living on this 3rd rock from the Sun. In 2050, Earth will be home to an estimated 9 Billion people/consumers. I'm with James. The future is dystopian unless we collectively and individually have a radical rethink. Not going to happen in our timeframe friend. Love your optimism/trololol though!

No. RICH countries are eco-friendly. Everything else will be polluted and overpopulated. We're already using more resources than Earth can provide.

Actually, Blade runner's vision of the future is the direct opposite of how our future will be. We are far more green and enviro-friendly now, the ozone layer is repairing itself. And by 2045-50 it's expected that there will be no pollution at all in the atmosphere thanks to technology.

    Great movie.

I understand some people liked it and some thought it was horrible.

I loved the atmosphere, the visuals, and especially the music of the movie. Imo the story could have been better.

Still one of my favorites, I'm glad I discovered it.

how was it in comparison to the movie?

I heard somewhere that the director never actually read the book himself
