Crank shaft end play on my '99 Miata with 33k miles. Mounted dial indicator to front sway bar and touched the crank pulley face. Pushed the pulley forward by prying between the sway bar and the pulley face. Then, in this video, pried between the back pulley and the block until the crankshaft reached the end of its travel. According to miata.net, .006-.008 is spec from the factory, and the TSB on the problem says to replace the shortblock at .0118 (.3mm)
