No, this is the M1A1 Thompson, used in World war 2. The "gangster" thompson is actually the M1928 Thompson. The M1A1 has the bolt on the side of the receiver, and the M1928 has the bolt on the top of the receiver. End of story.

I have this gun, and it is awesome. The accuracy is insane. You don't have to operate the mag release to insert the mag. Just push it in until it clicks into place. I would like to know where to get a sling like that.
