Just a minor correction. Don Williams didn't write this song. It was written By Bob McDill and originally recorded by Don Williams. But Waylon did have the bigger hit with it. Went straight to #1!!

I've listened to him for 38 years and I love the old CW singers. They had the real life experience and if it meant drugs, booze, and lots of women; so be it.

HE SURE HAS!!!! From "Catfish John" for Johnny Russell, to "Don't Close Your Eyes" for Keith Whitley, to "Everything That Glitters", "They Rage On", and "Big Wheels in The Moonlight" by Dan Seals, "Song Of The South" by Alabama, "Baby's Got Her Bluejeans On" by Mel McDaniel, to a bunch more Don Williams songs, like "I've been Loved By the Best" and "Good Ol' Boys Like Me", A cowrite on Alan Jackson's, "Gone Country". There are a lot more,,,,,,,,too numerous to mention here.
